Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

“A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there.”

Don’t be afraid to try things you have never done before. You can do far more than you think you can. More than likely by now you have already done something you thought you could never do. Do you remember that feeling? Do you remember that sense of accomplishment and euphoria you received after doing what you once thought was impossible or not likely? Maybe you haven’t experienced that yet, but that ability to be better is inside you. It’s inside all of us. We often think we can’t do something because it seems to hard or we are nervous because we have never done that thing before. Stop. Don’t think like that. Accept the challenge. Push yourself and see what you are truly capable of.

Every now and then, life is going to force us to make a move. It will force us to make a change. No matter how hard you try, you will not be able to stay inside your comfort zone at all times. You will be pushed out, more than likely, time and time again. So I ask you, why not embrace it? Better yet, why not push yourself out of your own comfort zone. This way, you get to be more in control. Welcome the idea of change. Invite the feeling of being critiqued and held accountable by yourself and by your peers. Understand that the test you are facing is a learning lesson for you to benefit from in the long run. The way I see it, you will either fold and let your fear and doubt consume you or you will elevate and let your greatness emerge. Either way, remember that how you handle the situation is your choice. You control how you react to the unfamiliar. Don’t worry though. Eventually, you will learn to appreciate the times you were out of your comfort zone. For those will more than likely be the times that you grew the most.
