Don’t Quit

Continuing with the motivation mood of the previous post, I want to share with you a poem. This is an inspirational poem about never giving up. It is titled Don’t Quit by an anonymous writer. I always find motivation in the form of poetry to be powerful. In this world, there are many different challenges we all face. I believe our task is to face them with the best of our ability and not focus too much on the outcome. Give your best effort in all things you do. A positive and optimistic will go a long way. Be that as it may, we all need motivation every now and then. I hope this brings you the boost you may be looking for in your life. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

– C.H.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twist and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When they might have won, had stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a fain and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worse that you must not quit!
